Facebook goes Oodles for Classified

Facebook has partnered with Oodles to provide classifieds for students. This looks like a great deal on the front, but you have to wonder what is up. Facebook opened up beyond their school-age end-user roots. This is clearly a move back to that verticle. Personally, I think they'd do much better sticking to that verticle. But why Oodle? This is a company that was booted by Craigslist for violating its terms of use. Is this the type of company you want to partner with? This could have been an opportunity for Facebook to deal with campus exchange startup like NexusTrade.

Update: Facebook must be listening. They've started their own NexusTrade.
