Wikipedia is Broken
The other day, I was talking with a friend of mine, whose a mathematical scientist whose proven a couple interesting things in the field of random prime numbers. He told me that links to his proofs on the Web were being removed from Wikipedia. This is becoming a repeating story. It would seem the folks at Wikipedia are internatizing their link structure and removing many useful external links. Whenever you review these occurances, the Wikipedia folk are referring to all external links as link spam. Wikipedia has enough Google juice and enough people that continue to link to them, that they are unlikely to ever disappear, but their usefulness as a portal to the Web is disappearing. Wikipedia is now a portal to Wikipedia, all links simply point back to Wikipedia.

...this coming from someone who can't even design a website properly is funny.

There are two kinds of human beings:

1. People who hate Wikipedia because it's a big giant slander machine for the ignorant who never read a book in their lives.

2. People who tolerate Wikipedia's pathetic existence because it's a big giant slander machine for the ignorant who never read a book in their lives.

The ones saying "I love the Wikipedia and do all my homework on Wikipedia and wouldn't know what to do without Wikipedia because I'm a Wikipedia cult member with too much time on my hands and have an inability to function offline in social groups." are not just mentally handicapped of course but rather a form of subhuman that should have been annihilated along with the Neanderthals long before the internet was created.

"...this coming from someone who can't even design a website properly is funny." ... irrelevant
"...this coming from someone who can't even design a website properly is funny." ... what is funny is how long a nasty comment can sit around without losing its efficacy. Long-live the interwebs; except for Wikipedia. That steaming pile could come or go...

My experience of Wikipedia is that a bunch of self-important people decide whether or not your postings should remain on the site, and frequently remove informational postings that were done solely to improve Wikepedia.
