JounalHome, a second tier blog host, has been sold for an undisclosed amount to an anonymous party. The platform was less than ideal. The owners, I found, tended to jerk around their bloggers, changing policies as the wind's changed.
I completely disagree. I have been a member of Journal Home since they started and they were more than the perfect blog platform. I don't remember any changes in their policies, except for the fact when Google changed its policy of sharing ad space, they had to not allow users to place their own ads and then weeks later they removed their ads so the users can place their own ads to make money...which I thought was a kind gesture.
I use Journal Home to this day with the new owner and the blog control panel is even more sophisticated with more features. Podcasting, moblogging, and a lot more. I think Journal Home is a great place and more than a second tier, it is up there with all the others. Its a free blog, they don't owe us anything.
