A SSAPI Christmas Wish

Mark Wooman has one big wish for Christmas; a Syndication Synchronization API. His wish has already come true; NewsGator API, Blogslines API and Yahoo! Feed API.

Hey, I missed the Yahoo API... thanks for the heads up.   The scrooge in me says, "3 proprietary APIs ain't no standard."

I guess in a world of a dozen RSS and Atom formats, 3 APIs isn't that bad?

GreatNews uses the BlogLines API, NewsGator Outlook uses the NewsGator API.   Do you know of any other readers that use them?  What about the Yahoo one?

I don't think anybody uses the Yahoo! API. It's new. I heard a few aggregators are using NewsGator and/or Bloglines.

Randy

but wouldn't it be nice if there were a super-simple API that anyone could implement, so users could have hundreds of choices of where to keep their sync data?
