Simple List Extensions Specification

Sean Lyndersay: The Simple List Extensions are designed as extensions to existing feed formats to make exposing ordered lists of items easier and more accessible to users.

Randy: This seems to be the list RSS extension announced by Microsoft today at gnomedex. My first impression is that it seems unnecessary. Mind you, I haven't seen a practical example. Sample appreciated. Reasoning preferred.
