NewsGator buys FeedDemon? Truth? Fiction? Ya never know with Chris. Dave confirms. Nick deals the truth. All of FeedDemon, NewsGator Outlook Edition, NewsGator Web Edition are among the more popular RSS aggregators. According to my subscription counts, the most popular RSS clients are...

  1. Pluck
  2. Bloglines
  3. Firefox
  4. FeedDemon
  5. NetNewsWire
  6. MyYahoo
  7. NewsGator Online
  8. NewsGator Outlook

Some are suggesting that this consolidation may eventually include NetNewsWire, the best RSS reader for the Apple.

Something like this...

Mozilla/5.0 (Windows; U; Windows NT 5.1; en-US; rv:1.7.5) Gecko/20041206 Thunderbird/1.0

It's funny. If I mention a particular User-Agent, then I get a few extra hits with that User-Agent almost immediately. Thunderbird just jumped a few subscribers and is hanging around near the bottom of the top eight (now nine) list shown above.
